One Top – Many Bottoms
The top chenille is the same: a short, fine pile that feels smooth, not plush. It does not pill easily, does not wrinkle much, and breathes. The difference is underneath. You decide what kind of “character” you want. Add a thin backing if you only need a little more stability for roman shades. Add a thick fleece if you want the fabric to feel heavy, warm, and almost like a light blanket. The top stays the same – the hand changes.
Made to Order
Some people think laminating is only about making fabric thicker. It is not. A good backing stops the chenille from stretching out of shape. It keeps the fabric from sliding around on sofa cushions. It adds a little noisedampening and warmth. And if you choose a darker backing, it stops light from coming through – good for curtains. You are not just adding weight. You are adding stability.
Because it is 100% polyester, this fabric does not shrink, fade easily, or care about minor spills. Wipe it clean. It works for sofas, dining chairs, headboards, curtains, and cushions – with or without the backing. You are in control of how soft, how stiff, how warm you want it to be. Just tell us which backing you prefer.
